Membership

The 2024 outdoor season is now in full swing. Apart from the normal evening league matches, we are about to have our annual Tournament (May 12th) starting at 10.00am. We look forward to welcoming bowlers from across Suffolk for the day. If you are passing, pop in and soak up the atmosphere.

This year we have received sponsorship from Holmes Glazing, Clarke and Simpson, The Black Dog Deli, The Chestnut Group and Heveningham Hall Country Fair. Their support is so much appreciated and it will be a pleasure to thank them formally at the Tournament.

Congratulations also to our Woodbridge Team members for winning their 2023 league (picture in the gallery). We are now getting to grips with the First Division!

During a season, we ‘roll up’ on Saturdays at 10.00am. All that’s needed is a pair of flat shoes. Do come and have a go. Tea and buns seems to have become a part of the Saturday agenda, how did that happen!!

Neither the weather nor the health difficulties of previous years affected this year’s club competition. The pictures of our 2023 winners are on the ‘Gallery’ page. The winners were

New members are very welcome and are asked to wear flat trainers in order to protect the green. There are spare sets of bowls available for newcomers to try out.

For official league matches members’ wear a club sweatshirt with grey trousers. With the closure of the Thursday afternoon league, we will still be playing in 4 leagues (after joining the Fynn League) – Saxmundham League (Monday nights), Woodbridge League (Tuesday nights), Bob Wright League (Wednesday nights) and the Fynn league on Thursday evenings.
